Alicia’s talk was excellent – her counsel, wise words, common sense combined with the biology of how the teenage brain functions was very reassuring for parents and teachers alike who I hope now feel that they have a better understanding of how they can support young girls have healthy and positive relationships with each other.

Ever wanted a one-stop spot for information, tips and advice - Teen Tips provides this! Our parents and staff find up-to-date, topical resources regarding mental health. Teenage life is challenging and having advice sheets and support available for both the pupil and parent as they navigate challenging times is such an assistance to the school. The webinars offer an insight to mental health issues and staff have benefitted from the perspectives and advice offered. To have access to such quality professionals such as Alicia, particular in this time of great prevalence of mental health concerns, is both reassuring and an asset to our school provision.

I had the pleasure of meeting Alicia last year when she was clearly working extremely hard to build and promote online content, that had suddenly become more important than ever, for children, staff and parents finding themselves isolated, with many problems amplified in lockdown. Not only was Alicia and her team reacting in real time, but also proactively building depth and breadth into topics that were becoming more relevant and prevalent as the pandemic progressed. It is rare to find online content of such superbly high quality. I recommend Teen Tips to my patients and the students I take in my charity workshops. You are the real deal Teen Tips. Well done.

I speak from both my heart and mind when I say that this resource is absolutely incredible. I am an experienced CAMHS nurse and this is just the medicine that schools, pupils, parents, colleagues need. CLC has so much to be proud of in what they are able to offer. I will be promoting this resource endlessly within college!

I wanted to say how reassuring I find it that this website is out there and accessible to young people and parents in distress in turmoil. Thank you so much for your work and the inspiration provided by promoting awareness and empathy of mental health issues for children and young people.

I recommend EVERYTHING that Teen Tips has to offer - as a member of staff working with teens, and as a parent of a tween and teen - I cannot speak highly enough about the content of all the material (including the podcast, articles, webinars and the tip sheets) that they have on offer.

The Wellbeing Hub enables us to support parents and therefore work in partnership, to identify potential concerns and react quickly to promote positive mental health in each pupil, both at School and at home.
We are also excited to be able to offer this package to a local maintained School to develop further, our existing relationships with local Schools and have a positive impact on the wider Sherborne community.

Alicia speaks regularly at Hurstpierpoint College Prep School. She has an intelligent, thought provoking and compassionate approach to parenting and the issues faced particularly when bringing up teenagers. She shares her knowledge and understanding with warmth and gentle humour. I recommend her most highly.

I enjoyed doing the (Mental Health & Wellbeing CPD) course as it was easily accessible. Each module was well explained with interesting examples. I only wish this course had been available when I had done my teaching practise and firmly believe every trainee teacher should do it.

We are absolutely delighted at St Teresa's to have joined the Teen Tips Wellbeing Hub. The feedback from all parties: parents, staff and pupils has been fantastic. Parents are particularly enjoying the live seminars, parenting course (!), and having up-to-date information on some of the most tricky aspects of raising teenagers; pupils have used the treasure hunt to navigate their way around the site and enjoyed listening to the podcasts in their PSHE lessons, stimulating some great debates; and staff are working their way through the INSET course together in our staff meetings, enjoying the chance to think and reflect on fascinating aspects of child development, as well as to share good practice and issues with each other. Thank you!

We have been contacted by a number of parents who have all said how valuable they found Alicia’s talk. It has had over 150 views and a number of parents have said that they now want to buy Alicia’s book. One parent said that as parents we are constantly learning and it as clear that lots of parents will be taking tips from the talk – such as the X text.
The pupils have all said how engaging and relevant Alicia’s talk was. They have taken a great deal away from it and it has been useful to have a number of follow-up conversations over the last week.
Thanks so much to Alicia for an excellent series of talks and for finding ways to engage the pupils and make them really reflect on what it means to have respectful relationships.

I have recently completed the Mental Health & Wellbeing CPD Course For Staff and found it helpful for understanding the mental health of my students as well as understanding my own mental health better. I believe all teachers would learn from completing this course. I think the Wellbeing Hub is a great source of knowledge and support for students, staff, and parents. I am a parent and a teacher and the resources the Hub offers help me in both roles. I am passionate about helping others with their mental health as I suffer myself and feel that the Wellbeing Hub helps me with this.
